Thirteen-year-old Sanaa Barrington thought her visit to her great-grandmother's house would be nothing more than a school assignment.

When danger threatens that child's life, Sanaa must make a choice.

And that choice changes her family's future.

When Sanaa finally returns to her own time, she discovers something impossible waiting inside the family album: a photograph showing her among the ancestors she had encountered in the past.
